Kristjan's been helping people in their second act for over a decade now. He's a certified mindfulness instructor and active aging specialist with a Master's degree in Health Psychology from the University of Tartu. His work focuses on what actually matters at 45+ — finding purpose, building real connections, and developing a mindfulness practice that fits your life. He doesn't believe in generic wellness advice. Instead, he designs programs rooted in Estonian culture and the specific challenges people face when they're navigating midlife and beyond.

Areas of Focus

Mindfulness for Active Aging

Kristjan teaches practical mindfulness techniques specifically designed for people in their second life stage. These aren't abstract meditation practices — they're real tools for managing stress, improving sleep, and finding clarity during major life transitions. He's worked with hundreds of adults who thought mindfulness "wasn't for them" and found simple approaches that actually stuck.

Social Connection Strategies

His research into social isolation led to peer-led workshops that help people build meaningful friendships and community engagement. He understands the unique barriers adults face — busy schedules, changing social circles, geographic mobility — and creates actionable strategies for genuine connection. The programs run throughout Tallinn and have become central to his educational work.

Self-Discovery & Purpose

Kristjan believes the 45+ years are a chance to really understand yourself. He facilitates workshops on journaling, life review, and identifying what matters most now. His approach combines psychological frameworks with cultural awareness — recognizing that self-discovery in Estonia has its own context and meaning.

Tallinn Community Programs

He's designed and delivered workshops across Tallinn's community centers, libraries, and wellness organizations. These programs address real-world needs — from beginner mindfulness to social anxiety, from navigating life changes to building resilience. He's created culturally relevant content that speaks to Estonian adults' actual experiences.

How This Work Started

Kristjan's path into wellness education wasn't planned. Around 2010, he watched his own parents struggle with the transition into their later professional years. They were successful, capable people — but suddenly facing uncertainty about identity, purpose, and what comes next. That experience shifted something for him. He realized there wasn't much accessible support for people navigating that exact moment.

He pursued formal education in health psychology at the University of Tartu, diving deep into research on stress, aging, and well-being. His master's thesis explored mindfulness interventions specifically for occupational stress in midlife adults. But he didn't want to stay in academia. He wanted to work directly with people, in communities, solving real problems.

That's what he's been doing for the past 14 years. Working in Tallinn's community centers, developing programs that address what he heard from hundreds of adults — the desire for genuine connection, for clarity about what matters, for practical tools to navigate change. His research on social isolation among 45+ individuals became the foundation for peer-led workshops now offered throughout the city. Everything he creates comes from that original impulse: helping people thrive in their second act.

Kristjan's Approach

Evidence-based, culturally grounded, and deeply practical

Authentic Connection

He believes mindfulness and wellness aren't about becoming someone different. They're about understanding who you actually are and building a life around that reality. No performance. No pretense.

Practical Tools

Every technique, every framework, every practice has been tested in real workshops with real people. He strips away jargon and focuses on what actually works — methods you can use immediately in your life.

Community First

Wellness isn't something you do alone. He emphasizes peer learning, shared experience, and the power of finding your people. Connection is foundational to everything he teaches.
